More than a project.
We have big plans for Onthefreeside—more than just a property, we’re building a place that invites adventure, connection, and the kind of freedom that comes with being surrounded by nature. Our goal is to create two properties—one here in Sweden and one in Southern Europe—where people can slow down, have fun, and experience a way of living that feels more real.
This is more than just a place to visit. It’s a project in the making, and you’re invited to be part of it.
Our swedish property.
Our biggest project—and the one we pour most of our energy into—is our tiny house, built alongside volunteers over the past two summers. This summer, we’re determined to bring it across the finish line. We use recycled materials whenever possible, but we also know that time matters. Sourcing reclaimed materials in our area can be a challenge, so we strike a balance—repurposing what we can while using new materials when needed to keep things moving.
But this tiny house is just the beginning. Our vision for the property goes beyond a single build—we’re creating a living, breathing space designed for good times and great company. Long summer nights by the fire, mornings picking fresh herbs from the garden, a sauna session after a full day of working outside—this is what we’re building. Over time, we’ll add treehouses, renovated caravans, fire pits, a sauna, and gathering spaces—places where people can come together, whether for a retreat, a weekend escape, or a hands-on building experience.
At its core, this project is about freedom and possibility—learning new skills, experimenting with sustainability, and creating a place where people can step away from the rush of daily life and focus on what really matters. Being content, happy, and loved.

At Freeside Forest in Sweden, we’re creating a summer sanctuary filled with tiny houses, treehouses, fire pits, and shared spaces, yoga decks, activity’s, rave barns, that bring people together. But we want to go further—more off-grid experiments, more hands-on workshops, and more ways to live simply while creating something meaningful.
In the future, we plan to establish a second location somewhere warm—a winter escape that carries the same spirit but in a totally different landscape. A place where people can retreat, create, and contribute, just like they do here.
The dream? To build spaces that not only give people a place to stay but invite them into something bigger—a way of living that’s more connected, more intentional, and a hell of a lot more fun.
